💙 A Personal Note from Corey 💙

Today, I want to share something deeply personal with all of you. As you may know, in February of 2024 I stepped away from Hurst Outdoor Living. It was a tough decision, but after being diagnosed with a chronic disease, my health needed to become my main focus. Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) is a rare liver condition that affects the bile ducts. While I’m in the early stages with minimal symptoms, PSC is a progressive disease that can eventually lead to the need for a liver transplant. After a year of close monitoring by our health care team, I have been given the opportunity to return to our business, and look forward to assisting our community for many years to come.

This diagnosis has been a life-changing reminder of how precious our health and time are. It’s also opened my eyes to the incredible importance of organ donation. While this journey has its challenges, my focus remains on building Hurst Outdoor Living and creating stunning outdoor spaces for families to enjoy for years to come. We are back at work this week starting a new outdoor living space. Last week we were in Louisville, Kentucky attending Hardscape North America. We networked with other colleagues in our industry, visited with vendors, found new products to incorporate in our projects, and bonded as a team.

I am feeling rejuvenated and excited about the future of Hurst Outdoor Living. We look forward to finishing off this year strong and working with all of our wonderful clients on upcoming projects for the 2024 season.
